At Clark Tutoring & Coaching, we aim to provide students with consistent, individualized support while encouraging independence, responsibility, and self-advocacy. These policies establish clear expectations for scheduled sessions, between-session communication, additional academic support, cancellations, and payment.
Tutoring and executive functioning coaching sessions are scheduled in advance and reserved specifically for each student.
Sessions may include academic tutoring, executive functioning coaching, organization and planning, study strategies, assignment management, goal setting, accountability, or other individualized support based on the student's needs.
The regular session rate is $70 per session for coaching and $60 per session for tutoring, unless a different rate or package has been arranged in advance.
Students are encouraged to reach out when they have a question, need clarification, feel stuck, or need help using a strategy discussed during coaching.
Brief between-session support is included in the regular coaching rate.
Sometimes a student needs more help than can reasonably be handled through a quick check-in. Clark Tutoring & Coaching offers additional academic support outside of regularly scheduled coaching sessions when availability allows.
Extended between-session support is billed at $40/hr (coaching), $30/hr (tutoring) in 30-minute increments.
Whenever possible, the student or parent will be notified before billable support begins. Students should never feel hesitant to ask for help because they are unsure whether sending a message will result in an additional charge.
If the student's needs become extensive enough to require tutoring or a full additional session, Clark Tutoring & Coaching may recommend scheduling a regular tutoring/coaching session instead.
Clark Tutoring & Coaching is here to help students learn how to complete their own work—not to complete assignments for them.
Support may include brainstorming, explaining concepts, creating organizational systems, developing outlines, providing sentence starters, reviewing drafts, asking guiding questions, and teaching students how to revise or improve their work.
The student remains responsible for completing and submitting their own academic work in accordance with their school's academic integrity and AI policies.
Because appointment times are reserved specifically for each student, Clark Tutoring & Coaching asks families and students to provide as much notice as possible when a session needs to be changed.
*Exceptions may be made for illness, family emergencies, severe weather, school-related emergencies, or other circumstances at Clark Tutoring & Coaching's discretion.
*Whenever possible, Clark Tutoring & Coaching will work with the student or family to reschedule rather than charge a cancellation fee.
If a student arrives late, the session will generally still end at the originally scheduled time so that appointments following the session are not affected.
If Clark Tutoring & Coaching is responsible for a delayed start, the student will receive the full amount of scheduled session time or an appropriate adjustment will be made.
Clark Tutoring & Coaching understands that students do not always become overwhelmed during normal business hours—especially college students.
Students are welcome to send questions or requests for help when they arise. However, messages sent outside of normal working hours may not receive an immediate response.
Requests for extended or last-minute academic assistance are subject to availability and cannot always be accommodated.
Tutoring and executive functioning coaching are not meant to make students dependent on support. It is to help them develop the skills, strategies, confidence, and self-awareness necessary to manage increasingly more on their own.
As students grow, the type and amount of support they need may change—and that is progress.
By participating in Clark Tutoring & Coaching services, students and families acknowledge these policies and agree to communicate openly when additional support, schedule changes, or adjustments may be needed.
